・An online briefing session regarding this mission will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), in line with the Basic Plan for Food, Agriculture and Rural Areas established in April 2025, is strengthening its initiatives for the overseas expansion of the food industry with the aim of synergistic effects in expanding exports of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and foods.
As part of this initiative, MAFF will dispatch a public-private business mission to Vietnam from Monday, July 13, to Friday, July 17, 2026, targeting food-related companies such as food manufacturers and restaurants interested in overseas business development in Vietnam. Participants are now being recruited.
This mission is scheduled to include visits to local government agencies and related companies, as well as exchanges of opinions, offering an excellent opportunity to grasp the local situation. We encourage your participation.
Furthermore, to provide an overview of the mission and gather your requests, an online briefing session will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026. We encourage those considering participation to attend.

## 1. Schedule and Destinations
Date: Monday, July 13, 2026 to Friday, July 17, 2026
Destinations: Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Socialist Republic of Vietnam

This mission will begin with assembly on-site on Monday, July 13, and conclude with dissolution on-site on Thursday, July 16.

## 2. Itinerary
* Monday, July 13 (Mandatory Participation)

Morning: Depart from Narita Airport
Afternoon: Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City), transfer to hotel
Evening: Exchange of opinions with Japanese food-related companies operating locally

* Tuesday, July 14 (Mandatory Participation)

Morning: Exchange of opinions with Vietnam Export Support Platform
Briefing on the local investment environment
Afternoon: Business Matching Event
Evening: Exchange of opinions with local food-related companies

* Wednesday, July 15 (Mandatory Participation)

Morning: Visit logistics facilities etc. related to Japanese companies locally
Afternoon: Inspect local food retailers (supermarkets, etc.)
Depart from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City)
Arrive at Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi), transfer to hotel

* Thursday, July 16 (Mandatory Participation)

Morning: Bilateral consultations with Vietnamese government authorities
Afternoon: Visit local Japanese companies
Evening: Depart from Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi)
(Note) Bilateral consultations may be limited to government agencies only.

Early Morning: Arrive at Narita Airport

## 3. Number of Participants
Maximum 20 people

The number of participants may change without prior notice.
In case of a large number of applications, MAFF will review the application details and adjust the participants.

The number of participants per company may be adjusted based on the total number of applicants.
