Moegi no Mura Co., Ltd. (Kiyosato, Takane-cho, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture; Representative Director: Joji Funaki) and Yatsugatake Club (Nishiiide, Oizumi-cho, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture; Yatsugatake Planning Co., Ltd.; Representative Director: Soshuke Yagyu) will jointly host the first "Nature Coexistence Site Field Tour" for businesses on Friday, May 29, 2026, commemorating their national certification as "Nature Coexistence Sites."

A "Nature Coexistence Site" is a system by which the government certifies activities that promote biodiversity. Natural Gardens MOEGI of Moegi no Mura was certified in Spring 2025, and "Yatsugatake Club no Mori" (Forest of Yatsugatake Club) was certified in Winter 2025. Currently, these are the only two certified sites in Hokuto City.

The "Nature Coexistence Site Field Tour" will be held as part of "Moegi no Mura Natural Garden Month 2026," a month-long garden event from Saturday, May 23 to Sunday, June 21, hosted by Moegi no Mura. Lecturers include Mr. Riki Murayama, a committee member of the Japan MAB Program Support Committee and the Ministry of Environment Nature Coexistence Site Matching System Committee, who served as a bridge between nature and businesses in leading both sites to certification. Participants will spend a day touring two unique fields, discussing and learning about the key evaluation points for each facility's certification and how companies engage with nature coexistence.

Additionally, a "Nature Coexistence Site Panel Exhibition" will be held concurrently during the Garden Month. A special panel corner will be set up at the Moegi no Mura Square Azumaya, introducing the features of Natural Gardens MOEGI, nature coexistence initiatives, and other certified nature coexistence sites in the Yatsugatake foothills. This panel exhibition is also being held for the first time.

Toward realizing Nature Positive (※2), an international challenge, corporate activities that promote biodiversity are also a social responsibility. We hope that this project will lead to the creation of a network that promotes eco-tours and other initiatives for nature positive from Hokuto City.
