Komono Town, Mie Prefecture, will host a lecture by local author Ena Komono on May 16, 2026, as part of its 70th anniversary celebrations. This event offers local residents the charm of literature and an opportunity for interaction with the acclaimed author.

Komono Town, Mie Prefecture, as part of its 70th anniversary celebration of the town's establishment, will host a lecture by Ena Komono, a writer from Komono Town, on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The lecture will be themed "The Making of 'Madoromi no Hoshitachi'".

Ms. Komono is a rising star author who unanimously won the 11th Poplar Publishing Novel Newcomer Award for her novel "Tsugihagu, Sankaku." On the day of the event, attendees of all generations will be able to experience the charm of literature through a lecture by a local writer.

A book signing event is also scheduled after the lecture.

*Those wishing to receive a signature should bring a copy of Ena Komono's book. (One book per person, no sales on the day of the event)

About Ena Komono, a writer from Komono Town

Ena Komono (residing in Tokyo), a writer from Komono Town, made her debut as an author by winning the 11th Poplar Publishing Novel Newcomer Award for "Tsugihagu, Sankaku" while working as an active court clerk.

Her works are gaining attention for their delicate psychological descriptions and unique worldview, and she is a promising author supported by many readers for her warm writing style.

Her other works include "Saiwai Sumu to Hito no Iu" and "Madoromi no Hoshitachi," creating works that gently resonate with readers' hearts.
