(Headquarters: Fujioka City, Gunma Prefecture; President: Shoichi Kikuchi) announces the arrival of Kamigo, a male giraffe, at Gunma Safari Park (Fujioka City, Gunma Prefecture), transferred from Saitama Children's Zoo and Nature Park (Higashimatsuyama City, Saitama Prefecture).

About the Arrival

With Kamigo's arrival, Gunma Safari Park now houses two male giraffes, including the resident male, Natsumaro (12 years old).

Giraffes are the tallest land animals, with males reaching heights of up to 5 meters. At the park, they are often the first animals to greet visitors in the safari zone, leaning their faces close to car windows or tour buses—an iconic and heartwarming experience that has long delighted guests at Gunma Safari Park.

With the addition of Kamigo, visitors will soon be able to enjoy encounters with two giraffes.

Public Viewing Schedule

Kamigo is currently being monitored inside the animal enclosure to assess his health and adaptability to the new environment.
