Opening of Mirai Aozora Gakuen and a New Community Hub

On the 1st, we will open a new community hub that integrates local exchange and support facilities, such as a children's center and a community comprehensive support center, into 'Mirai Aozora Gakuen,' the second combined elementary and junior high school in the ward.

This facility was developed as a leading project for the consolidation and integration of surrounding facilities in conjunction with the rebuilding of elementary and junior high schools, based on the ward's Comprehensive Management Plan for Public Facilities.

By consolidating spaces for learning, play, consultation, and social interaction into the same facility, we aim to become a community hub that connects diverse generations, from children to the elderly.

◆ Mirai Aozora Gakuen
Asahigaoka Elementary School and Asahigaoka Junior High School have opened as 'Mirai Aozora Gakuen,' the second combined elementary and junior high school in the ward.
We will conduct educational activities that leverage features such as students from 1st to 9th grade living in the same school building, the inclusion of special needs classes for both the elementary and junior high departments, and the proximity of multiple universities.

◆ Mirai Aozora Children's Center
Opened by relocating and renaming the Sakae-cho Children's Center (40-7 Sakae-cho).
Features include a bright and spacious playroom, a music room where junior and senior high school students can practice with bands, a mini-kitchen, and a kids' room equipped with nursing and diaper-changing spaces.

Opening date: Wednesday, April 1
Opening hours: Monday to Friday… 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday, school holiday periods (summer, winter, spring breaks), Tokyo Citizen's Day… 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
*For junior and senior high school students only, open until 7:00 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
Closed: Sundays, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3)
Facilities: Playroom, library, light court, kids' room, music room, creative room
Target audience: All children from 0 to 18 years old can play freely.

◆ Mirai Aozora Community Comprehensive Support Center
Opened by relocating and renaming the 2nd Ikushuen Community Comprehensive Support Center (2-8-16 Hazawa) into the Mirai Aozora Gakuen complex.
