Kinokawa City will hold an experiential disaster prevention class for 4th to 6th graders at six elementary schools within the city.

This project has been implemented since FY2016 with the aim of improving regional disaster prevention capabilities by fostering an understanding of the "necessity of disaster prevention" from a young age and creating opportunities for families to discuss emergency supplies and evacuation methods. With the cooperation of the Kinokawa City Disaster Prevention Leaders' Association, the content will include learning basic disaster knowledge through a disaster prevention O/X quiz, experiencing tasting emergency food, observing an aerial reconnaissance aircraft (drone), learning evacuation actions during a fire in a smoke experience house, and experiencing the production of cardboard beds used in evacuation shelters.
