In recent years, the risk of forest fires has been increasing due to changes in weather conditions. On this occasion, the neighboring Katsuragi Town Fire Department and the Kinokawa City Fire Department will collaborate to conduct a joint training exercise simulating a large-scale forest fire. This training has been planned as follows, with the aim of establishing a smooth cooperative system between both fire departments and improving their rapid and accurate initial response capabilities.

Date: Sunday, May 17, Reiwa 8 (2026), Opening ceremony at 8:30 AM, Training scheduled to start at 9:00 AM

Training Location: Atagoike Park (1068 Asouzu Naka, Kinokawa City)

Training Content: ・Establishment of a joint on-site command center and centralized command using a grid map ・Information sharing with the on-site command center using drones ・Fire spread prevention activities by setting up firebreaks ・Relay water supply using flow meters ・Extinguishing remaining fires using jet shooters ・Information transmission using radios
