Wakayama Prefecture and Kinokawa City to Continue Selling "Kishigawa Line 70 Odekake Discount Tickets" in Reiwa 8 Fiscal Year

Wakayama Prefecture and Kinokawa City will continue to sell the "Kishigawa Line 70 Odekake Discount Tickets" in the Reiwa 8 (2026) fiscal year, targeting citizens aged 70 and above, to promote the use of the Wakayama Electric Railway Kishigawa Line and encourage elderly outings. These advantageous discount tickets, which allow one ride on the Wakayama Electric Railway Kishigawa Line for 100 yen regardless of the distance, will be sold as a booklet of 10 tickets for 1,000 yen.

1. Eligibility for purchase and use

・Residents of Kinokawa City or Wakayama City aged 70 and above.

※Includes those who will turn 70 by the end of the purchasing month.

2. How to purchase

・You can purchase the tickets by presenting identification at the sales locations listed below and submitting a purchase application form with a survey.

・The purchase application form is also distributed at the Wakayama Electric Railway website, Kinokawa City Hall main office, and each branch office, so please fill it out in advance.

3. Sales locations

・Kishi Station (Tama Shop) / Idakiso Station

・Kinokawa City Tourism Exchange Base "Kirari" (in front of Kishi Station)

・Wakayama City Tourism Exchange Center (within Wakachika Square in front of Wakayama Station)

4. Validity period and sales period of discount tickets

・The discount tickets are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

・The discount tickets will be sold quarterly, divided into four times a year.

※Purchase is limited to one booklet per person per period, and up to four booklets per person per year.
