It is said that approximately 1 in 3.6 people aged 65 and over has dementia or mild cognitive impairment (MCI), making it a very significant social issue. To address this challenge and realize the creation of a community where everyone can live with peace of mind, many community organizations will collaborate to conduct a door-to-door simulation drill to expand the circle of understanding and support for dementia.

【Drill Outline】

Members of community organizations will visit individual homes in teams of 5-6 people. The team members will consult with the cooperating household about problems arising from dementia (e.g., 'I can't find my way home'), allowing the residents to have a simulated experience of how to respond.

Date and Time: Saturday, June 6, 2026, 9:15 AM - 12:00 PM

Venue: Hagoromo Regional Welfare Service Center* (1-12-18 Hagoromo-cho, Tachikawa City)
