[Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture] "Minamisoma Miraie" wins the 5th Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism "Town Development Award (Meritorious Service Category)"!

Minamisoma Miraie (Representative Director: Ken Araki) has won the 5th "Town Development Award (Meritorious Service Category)" for fiscal year 2026 from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. This award recognizes individuals and organizations that have made particularly significant contributions to the promotion of attractive town development utilizing creativity and ingenuity. The achievements of Minamisoma City and Minamisoma Miraie in working together to solve regional issues through the "Vacant House and Housing Consultation Desk (a project commissioned by the city)," as well as support for various challengers such as migration and entrepreneurship, and the securing of rental factories/offices and housing adjustments for employees of companies moving into the city, were highly evaluated as an excellent advanced case study nationwide. Minamisoma Miraie was established in August 2023 by incorporating its predecessor, the "Minamisoma Vacant House and Vacant Land Support Center," to promote the utilization of vacant land and houses. It develops multifaceted activities that lead not only to property matching but also to the improvement of the regional living environment, promotion of migration, and even industrial support. Minamisoma Mayor Kazuo Monma commented, "The fact that our public-private partnership efforts have been highly evaluated by the national government is of great significance to our city."
