Regarding the New Structure of the Startup City Promotion Council

The Startup City Promotion Council transitioned to a new structure on May 29, 2026. Kyoko Morisawa, Mayor of Shinagawa Ward, has been appointed as the chair of the council, while Fukuoka Mayor Soichiro Takashima, who previously served as chair, will support the new structure as vice-chair. The council has been working to realize a society where people who take risks and challenge themselves are respected. Under the new structure, the council will deepen collaboration by leveraging the strengths of each city to promote effective support that boosts startup growth.
