Fukui Prefecture Launches Largest-Ever Simultaneous Recruitment for 'Regional Revitalization Cooperation Corps'

Fukui Prefecture is conducting its largest-ever simultaneous recruitment for the Regional Revitalization Cooperation Corps, with 15 projects and 17 positions. The recruitment covers diverse fields including SDGs, well-being, women's empowerment, regional transportation, multicultural coexistence, agriculture, forestry, outdoor activities, and cultural properties.

As of May 1, 2026, 33 members are active in the Regional Revitalization Cooperation Corps commissioned by Fukui Prefecture. This is the largest number of corps members commissioned by a prefectural government nationwide. This recruitment aims to accept specialized human resources in a wider range of fields than ever before. It goes beyond simply recruiting new residents, presenting specific missions that address regional issues and resources, and seeks personnel who can apply their experience and expertise cultivated in urban areas to local communities.

Additionally, recruitment information sessions will be held in Tokyo on Saturday, June 6 and Saturday, June 13. Host representatives and active corps members will speak candidly about any questions or concerns. We are confident you will find a project that makes you want to take on this challenge.

The 15 projects being recruited are uniquely diverse on a national scale. Many involve working as independent business owners, and side jobs or multiple jobs are possible. Company presidents are also welcome.

(1) Prefectural Government Appeal Coordinator: Effectively communicate the evolving charm and policies of Fukui Prefecture from a new resident's perspective with specialized knowledge via SNS and other channels. Analyze the reach of the prefecture's communications and provide advice and proposals to ensure the message is understood.

(2) SDGs Coordinator (2 positions): Collaborate with approximately 1,400 Fukui SDGs Partners. Create connections across organizations and sectors, promote community development based on SDGs principles, and generate new initiatives for regional revitalization.

(3) Well-being Coordinator: Plan and implement projects to enhance the well-being of prefectural residents in collaboration with companies and universities. Use your ideas to create a greater sense of happiness in Fukui.

(4) Regional Revitalization Cooperation Corps Coordinator: Advise corps members and host organizations, support collaboration among members, and provide comprehensive support for post-term settlement and livelihood creation, revitalizing community activities in Fukui.

(5) Manufacturing Hub Promoter: Operate and promote work and lifestyle experience programs in manufacturing hubs to encourage U/I-turn migration. Help discover new host businesses, support environment creation, and build spaces to experience the charm of the manufacturing hubs.

(6) Fukui Women's Empowerment Company Promoter: Expand environments where women can demonstrate their individuality and abilities in companies within Fukui Prefecture by discovering and disseminating best practices and building networks among companies.

(7) Challenge Support Coordinator: Support young people who want to take on challenges and match them with companies and experienced individuals to energize Fukui Prefecture from the youth upward.

(8) Regional Railway Attractiveness Improvement Coordinator: Promote the use of regional railways and secure human resources through strategic public relations and event planning and operation.

(9) Public Transport Usage Promotion Coordinator: Promote the use of public transportation, primarily buses within the prefecture, and work to secure drivers through appeal campaigns. Collaborate with municipalities and transport operators to protect and sustain regional mobility.

(10) Fukui Multicultural Coexistence Promoter (for foreigners): Connect key local figures across sectors to promote multicultural coexistence. Use SNS and events to build a community where everyone can live authentically regardless of nationality.

(11) Fukui Prefectural Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins Museum Visitor Attraction Manager: Attract visitors to the museum through strategic proposals and sales to travel agencies and schools. Increase the museum's fan base by promoting the appeal of historical heritage through educational travel.

(12) Fukui Agriculture Start Cooperation Corps: Ensure and retain new farmers by communicating the appeal of agriculture and support systems. Aim to become a new farmer in Fukui yourself.

(13) Self-Managed Forestry Regional Revitalization Cooperation Corps: Promote self-managed forestry and migration in hilly and mountainous areas, aiming for a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with nature in collaboration with the prefecture and municipalities.

(14) Outdoor Experience Promotion Coordinator (2 positions): Promote outdoor education at prefectural youth education facilities, fostering resilience in children with innovative ideas beyond conventional frameworks.

(15) Promote Fukui's Cultural Properties! Unearth the charm of Fukui's rich cultural properties and share timely information on restoration sites and traditional events via SNS.
