Kanagawa Prefecture will conduct a recruitment examination for persons with disabilities this year to promote employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

1. Examination Categories and Number of Expected Hires

(1) Administration: Approximately 23 people (2) Public Elementary and Junior High School Affairs: Approximately 1 person (3) Police Administration: Approximately 2 people - Applicants may apply for up to two categories. - The examination will be conducted jointly across all three categories, so applicants applying for two categories need only take the exam once. - If an applicant meets the passing criteria for both categories, only the higher-preference category will be considered as passed.

2. Eligibility Requirements Applicants must meet both (1) and (2) below (foreign nationals may apply, except for police administration roles):

(1) Born between April 2, 1965, and April 1, 1999 (2) Meet at least one of the following conditions: - Hold a Physical Disability Certificate - Have received a diagnosis or opinion letter from a designated physician (as defined under Article 15 of the Physical Disability Welfare Act), an industrial physician under the Industrial Safety and Health Act, a health management physician under Personnel Bureau Rule 10-4, or another equivalent professional, stating that the applicant has a physical disability listed in the schedule of the Act for Promoting the Employment of Persons with Disabilities (for disabilities related to the heart, kidneys, respiratory system, bladder or rectum, small intestine, immune function due to HIV, or liver function, the diagnosis or opinion must be issued by a designated physician) - Hold a Child Development Support Certificate issued by a prefectural governor, designated city mayor, or core city mayor - Have been diagnosed with an intellectual disability by a child consultation center, rehabilitation consultation center for persons with intellectual disabilities, mental health and welfare center, designated mental health physician, or disability employment support center - Hold a Mental Disability Welfare and Health Certificate

Note: Individuals who fall under Article 16 of the Local Public Service Act or who were declared quasi-incompetent under the Civil Code prior to the 1999 amendment (excluding those due to mental weakness) are not eligible to apply.

4. Examination Schedule and Content

(1) First Examination: September 20 (Sunday) (Content) General Knowledge Test (multiple-choice, high school graduate level) (2) Second Examination: One designated day between early and mid-November (Content) Essay Test (conducted on the first examination day), Personality Assessment (group discussion, individual interview) (3) Final Results Announcement: Late November

The general knowledge and essay tests will use common questions across all three categories. The personality assessment will also be conducted jointly even for applicants who apply for two categories.

The scope of the general knowledge test is as follows:

(Knowledge Section – 15 mandatory questions): Social sciences, humanities, natural sciences (Intelligence Section – 15 mandatory questions): Reading comprehension (including English), logical reasoning, numerical processing, data interpretation

5. Availability and Distribution of Application Guidelines From July 6 (Monday), application guidelines will be posted on the staff recruitment website. Guidelines and application forms will be distributed starting July 13 (Monday) at the prefectural office, Kanagawa Prefectural Citizens' Centers, Kawasaki Prefectural Citizens' Center, and regional prefectural government information corners, and can also be requested by mail.
