Machida City, Tokyo: "Zushimachichi" Marche and Nature Experience Event to be Held

Machida City aims to realize a lifestyle and urban development that leverages its diverse green spaces, including parks, green areas, satoyama (traditional Japanese rural landscape), and agricultural lands. To promote the utilization of green spaces through collaboration among industry, academia, government, and citizens, the voluntary organization "Machida Green Utilization Network" was established in April 2023 by businesses, NPOs, farmers, and Machida City. From fiscal year 2026, the organization will transition to an NPO corporation and begin self-sufficient operations.

"Zushimachichi" is an event where various entities, primarily members of the aforementioned network, implement "things they want to do" using green spaces, contributing to the creation of local vibrancy.

In a beautiful park in early summer, the event will feature a marche and nature experiences, as well as festival games, Mölkky (Finnish skittles) experience, and music appreciation.
