Machida Yakushi-ike Park Shikisai-no-Mori will hold a spring-themed event, "Machida Yakushi-ike Park Shikisai-no-Mori Spring Fair 2026: News of Flowers," from Friday, April 10, to Wednesday, May 6 (a substitute holiday).

In conjunction with the annual "Peony and Tree Peony Festival," various events will be held across all nine facilities, including Yakushi-ike Pond.

We invite you to visit and fully enjoy the spring season at Shikisai-no-Mori, where peonies and rapeseed blossoms are in full bloom and the fresh greenery is beautiful.

- Peony and Tree Peony Festival: April 10 (Fri) – May 6 (Wed, substitute holiday) at the Peony Garden. Features vibrant, large blooms of approximately 1,700 peony plants (330 varieties) and 600 tree peony plants (60 varieties). - Machida Satoyama Art Expedition "Mikkerun" in Shikisai-no-Mori: Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from April 11 (Sat) to May 6 (Wed, substitute holiday) throughout the Shikisai-no-Mori area. A nature experience program to find hidden art (Advance registration required / Fee applies). - Sale of Mt. Nanakoku Soba and Buckwheat Flour: April 1 (Wed) from 9:30 AM (until sold out) at the Furusato Nougukan (Folk Farm Tool Museum). Selling dried noodles and buckwheat flour made from buckwheat harvested in the Mt. Nanakoku fields. - Yokohama Canon Eagles Photo Exhibition: April 8 (Wed) – April 20 (Mon) at the Machida City Photo Salon. A reconfigured exhibition of the photo show previously held at the Canon Gallery. - Best Viewing Time for Rapeseed Blossoms: Mid-April to late April at Mt. Nanakoku and other areas. The fields near the Mt. Nanakoku Farmers Center will be in full bloom. - Rapeseed Oil Pressing Demonstration and Sale: April 18 (Sat) from 9:30 AM (until sold out) at the Furusato Nougukan. Oil is pressed from rapeseed grown in the Mt. Nanakoku area of Nozutamachi. Sold for 700 yen per 255g bottle. - Yakushi LOCAL Farmers Market: April 18 (Sat) and 19 (Sun) from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the West Garden. An open-air market featuring agricultural products and processed goods from local farmers and food businesses. - Spring Yakushi-ike Park Art Exhibition: April 22 (Wed) – May 6 (Wed, substitute holiday) at the Machida City Photo Salon. Featuring works from the "Spring Yakushi-ike Park Photo Session" and other works capturing spring at the park. - Tea Ceremony in the Fresh Greenery at the West Garden: April 25 (Sat) from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Advance reservation required) at the West Garden. An outdoor tea ceremony (nodate) in the lush green surroundings. Tea ceremony experience is also available. - Dahlia Bulb Sale: April 29 (Wed, holiday) from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dahlia Garden. Selling dahlia bulbs, including those grown in Machida. - Children's Days: May 3 (Sun, holiday) – May 5 (Tue, holiday) from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the West Garden. Enjoy nature crafts, paper crafts, children's nail art, and more. - Night Picnic Cinema: May 5 (Tue, holiday) at 7:00 PM at the West Garden. Watch a movie on the lawn. - Machida "Happiness Road" Zelvia Support Hiking: May 6 (Wed, substitute holiday) at Yakushi-ike Park and surrounding areas. A guided walk led by a head priest along the "Happiness Road," which connects the Koyama Kegon-in Temple at the foot of the FC Machida Zelvia home stadium and the Fukuoji Yakushido Hall adjacent to Yakushi-ike Park (Advance registration required / Fee applies).
