**What is Higashi-Shinshu Sangyo no Jin?**
The Higashi-Shinshu region (Ueda City, Tomi City, Sakaki Town, Komoro City) has developed as a "monozukuri (manufacturing) land" centered on precision industries and industrial machinery, where reliable technology and the craftsmanship of artisans thrive. Companies with world-class technology and the human resources to support them are concentrated here.

"Higashi-Shinshu Sangyo no Jin" is an open factory event where these local businesses simultaneously open their facilities, allowing visitors to observe and experience manufacturing sites up close. It is held with the aim of promoting the appeal of the industry and improving its image, against the backdrop of labor shortages faced by local businesses.

In the 2025 event, 20 companies exhibited, and approximately 1,200 visitors participated. For visitors, it was an opportunity to deepen their understanding of work through communication with artisans at manufacturing sites they rarely have the chance to visit, and many positive responses were received.

When a survey was conducted among visitors, 85% answered "Strongly agree" and 13% answered "Somewhat agree" to the question "Did you feel like participating in this event again next year?", resulting in a remarkable 98% indicating their intention to participate.

Furthermore, to the question "Did you want to work in the manufacturing industry through this event?", 42% answered "Strongly agree" and 40% answered "Somewhat agree," with a total of 82% giving positive responses.

This third event aims to expand the number of exhibiting companies and enrich the content to convey the appeal of local industries to more visitors and enhance satisfaction.
