New Maruteki Mark CMS Certification Issued: Japan Life Design Counselor Association (JLCA) Newly Issues Maruteki Mark CMS to Marriage Agencies!

The Japan Life Design Counselor Association (JLCA), a specified non-profit organization, has issued new certifications for its 'Maruteki Mark CMS' system to three marriage agencies. The newly certified agencies are Naresome Preparatory School (Tokyo), Wealsma (Tokyo), and Bridal Office Shalom (Kagawa Prefecture). JLCA was established in January 2007. At the time of its establishment, the number of consultations regarding marriage introduction services, commonly known as marriage agencies, received by the National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan was approximately 3,000, raising significant concerns about the industry's trustworthiness. In response, JLCA began issuing the 'Maruteki Mark' in December 2008, based on the 'Guidelines for Marriage Introduction Service Industry Certification System,' as a third-party certification body. The number of certified agencies, initially 176, has grown to approximately 610 as of March 2025. Through its 'Maruteki Mark' certification business and training programs for marriage agencies, JLCA contributes to further improving the reliability of the marriage introduction service industry and aims to ensure safe and secure matchmaking for consumers seeking marriage, fulfilling its social mission. JLCA also conducts online briefing sessions explaining the content of the Maruteki Mark CMS certification process. These sessions are open to anyone interested, including those who have not yet acquired the Maruteki Mark, and are held monthly as part of an open study group with changing themes.
