Certified NPO Piccolare (Location: Toshima Ward, Tokyo; Representative: Kaori Nakajima; hereinafter referred to as Piccolare) will hold a donation campaign titled "Beyond Pregnancy: Continuing to Support Each Individual's Life - Towards Finding Their Own HOME Someday" from July 1 (Wed) to August 7 (Fri) to respond to SOS calls and continue connecting with people beyond pregnancy.

According to the "Report on Verification of Child Abuse and Other Cases Requiring Protection" by the Expert Committee on Verification of Cases of Child Abuse Prevention Measures, Child and Family Council, the largest number of deaths for over 20 consecutive years, from the 1st to the latest 21st report, are infant deaths at 0 years old. Among these, the number of deaths at 0 months and 0 days old is the highest, suggesting that many individuals face difficulties from the pregnancy period.
In 2015, we launched the pregnancy consultation service "Ninshin SOS Tokyo" with the desire to "protect lives that are lost on the very day they are born." Through numerous consultations since then, we encountered pregnant women who could not even sleep with their limbs extended and had no safe place to stay. In response, we established "Pisara," a safe haven for them, in 2020 and have continued its operation since.
Through the operation of these consultation services and safe havens, we have been gradually expanding our activities to ensure that those who connect with us due to pregnancy do not become isolated in their future lives.
At Piccolare, we value each person's "what they want to do" when they confide in us, and we walk alongside them regardless of whether they choose to give birth, or whether they will raise the child themselves.
Because the lives that follow each choice are diverse, the needs for support are also not singular. We are widely calling for donations to continue providing support and engagement that can meet highly individualized support needs that tend to fall through the cracks of public support and existing systems.
[Application Period] July 1, 2026 (Wed) - August 7, 2026 (Fri)

About Piccolare
Certified NPO Piccolare aims to realize a society where everyone can live freely and happily without isolation, triggered by pregnancy, and engages in four main activities. The Pregnancy Consultation Support Project (Ninshin SOS Tokyo/Ninshin SOS Saitama/Ninshin SOS Chiba) has a mission to be there for all "troubles and concerns" related to pregnancy, accepting consultations 365 days a year. We also hold training sessions aimed at nurturing support staff and have produced and published "Pregnancy Conflict White Paper" (April 2021) and "Pisara: A Safe Haven for Young Pregnant Women - Three Years of Progress" (June 2023) as awareness activities to widely communicate the challenges of "pregnancy conflict" seen from the field to society. Furthermore, since fiscal year 2020, we have been operating "Pisara" (Toshima Ward), the first "HOME" in "project HOME" for creating safe havens for homeless pregnant women, and conducting activities such as "Piko's Health Room" outreach for comprehensive sex education.
