The "Konbotei Monthly Meeting" is a lecture series hosted by the NPO Community Mental Health and Welfare Organization (commonly known as NPO COMHBO). Under the banner of the "Easy-to-Understand Mental Health Lecture Series," we invite a variety of guests for each session. Anyone interested, regardless of their background as a person with lived experience, family member, welfare or medical professional, or educator, is welcome to attend.

Message from Kiyohisa Aoki (Professor, Nihon Fukushi University)!

I entered this field 38 years ago when I was 21, a fourth-year university student in Nagoya, after meeting a person with a mental disability. In that time, I've come to believe that everyone should live a meaningful life, utilizing social resources and gaining many experiences in society. However, learning about and connecting with systems and services is not easy. I hope that those who attend Konbotei this time will gain many opportunities to "know." What I focus on is "conveying, understanding, and connecting." With these points in mind, for my Konbotei debut lecture, I am eager to not only present an organized overview of systems and services but also to delve into the significance they hold for daily life.
