Public-Private Partnership Implements Bicycle Traffic Rule Awareness - Hokkaido Development Bureau, Levanga Hokkaido, and Certified NPO Porocle -

■Hokkaido's cycling season is here! Interest in bicycle traffic safety is growing!

Certified NPO Porocle is engaged in various activities to contribute to the urban development, human resource cultivation, and attractiveness of Sapporo through its share cycle business.

Porocle has been promoting diverse collaborations with the Hokkaido Development Bureau, with whom it has concluded an agreement on mutual cooperation in times of disaster. In addition, the professional basketball team Levanga Hokkaido has also concluded a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the Hokkaido Development Bureau to promote regional revitalization. Based on these two cooperative relationships—Porocle-Hokkaido Development Bureau and Levanga Hokkaido-Hokkaido Development Bureau—a three-way co-creation has developed, leading to the production of videos promoting bicycle traffic rules and etiquette.

Starting April 1, 2026, the 'Traffic Violation Notification System (Blue Ticket)' will also apply to bicycles, leading to a significant increase in interest in bicycle traffic safety. The produced videos consist of short lessons from Lesson 1 to 11 and a comprehensive long video. Hiroto Kikuchi, a player for Levanga Hokkaido (from Kitami City, Hokkaido), appears in the videos, which cover basic bicycle riding methods and rules, as well as the contents of the 'Blue Ticket.'

■Safety Awareness Event at Levanga Hokkaido Home Game (March 11, 2026)

On March 11 (Wednesday), an awareness booth was set up together with the Hokkaido Development Bureau at Levanga Hokkaido's home game (VS Sunrockers Shibuya) held at Hokkai Kitayell.

On the day of the event, stickers featuring original illustrations of Levanga Hokkaido players and the mascot character Levard wearing helmets and riding bicycles were presented, and safe bicycle use was promoted through direct conversations with many boosters who visited the booth.

Porocle will continue its awareness activities to promote safe bicycle use.
