Event Overview
Through board games, animal charades, and true-or-false quizzes, children learn in a fun way about the challenges facing Borneo elephants, such as habitat loss and human-wildlife coexistence. Students from Malaysia and Japan jointly discussed the question, "How can Borneo elephants and humans coexist?" Their ideas will be displayed at participating zoos on August 12, 2026, World Elephant Day.
Event Report
First Session – Completed
At the start of the workshop, Malaysian children greeted with "Good morning!" while Japanese children responded with "Selamat pagi!" in each other’s languages, initiating cross-border interaction via screens. As tension eased through physical animal charades, numerous creative ideas about the future of Borneo elephants emerged by the end of the session.
