Watanabe Pipe Participates in "DREAM JAPAN PROJECT 2026" to Create the Future with Students and Companies

Watanabe Pipe Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Keisuke Watanabe), a specialized trading company dealing in materials related to infrastructure and housing, and an agricultural plant manufacturer, is pleased to announce its participation in "DREAM JAPAN PROJECT 2026," a project to create the future with students and companies, organized by Dentsu Social Design Engine, a project team of Dentsu Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Chisato Matsumoto).

"DREAM JAPAN PROJECT 2026" is a project that calls for ideas to solve social issues for a better future and society from high school students, vocational school students, junior college students, university students, and graduate students across Japan, and expands the possibilities for commercialization and product development through support from companies and venture capitalists.

Our company will participate in the "Corporate Challenge Idea Course" of this project, and will solicit ideas with the theme, "Please think of new products, services, systems, and experiences that will energize the future of your town through the power of infrastructure for water, housing, and agriculture," based on the free thinking unique to students.

Background of Participation

Since our founding in 1953, our company has been involved in businesses that support the living infrastructure of "water, housing, and agriculture."

In 2025, we announced our long-term vision [Watanabe Pipe 100-Year Enterprise VISION], looking ahead to our 100th anniversary, and have set forth the goal of becoming a "company that realizes a vibrant society." We are promoting initiatives that leverage the knowledge gained through our business to address future social challenges such as population decline, labor shortages, aging infrastructure, regional revitalization, and the sustainability of food and agriculture. We believe that co-creation with diverse perspectives, both inside and outside the company, is essential for achieving this goal.

In particular, we believe that the real-world perspectives of students, who will be the future pillars of society, their flexible thinking unconstrained by existing concepts, and their desire to improve society, are a great force for creating new value towards our 100th anniversary, which led to our participation in this project.

Through our participation in this project, we will support the challenges of students and work to create new social value starting from the infrastructure of water, housing, and agriculture.
