The Shibuya Zunchaka Executive Committee (Executive Chairman: Mikihiro Kobayashi, Co-hosted by: Shibuya City, Tokyo) will hold the 12th Shibuya Zunchaka! music festival on June 7, 2026 (Sunday). This "everyone's music festival for the town" will be set on 11 stages across various locations in Shibuya, including Shibuya Center Gai, Miyashita Park, and Shibuya Sakura Stage.

### Background of the Event
Shibuya has developed as a hub for culture, including music and fashion, attracting diverse talents. Currently, the area around Shibuya Station is undergoing a once-in-a-century redevelopment. Shibuya Zunchaka! has been held since its first event in 2015, dubbed "A Music Liberation Zone for One Day Only," amidst the evolving streets of Shibuya, engaging people connected to this diverse and vibrant district. It has featured music stages by publicly recruited artists and workshops where anyone can enjoy music.
Shibuya Zunchaka! is a music festival planned and operated primarily by citizen volunteers. It aims to propose a new form of community that symbolizes "Shibuya City: A City that Transforms Differences into Strengths," serving as an opportunity for people to proudly and affectionately engage with Shibuya's future, where they can connect through music in their own way and continue to create new culture with free ideas. (This initiative was also selected for the Good Design Award in 2024.)

- **"Town Stages" Featuring 94 Publicly Recruited Artists at 11 Locations**
93 diverse publicly recruited artists, selected through a voting process based on "what they love" by volunteer staff who create the event throughout the year, will perform live and present performances at 11 locations in Shibuya. This lineup is unique and cannot be seen at other music festivals.
Instead of a dedicated main stage, diverse stages are scattered across a wide area, including Miyashita Park and in front of Udagawa Police Box around Shibuya Station, as well as Shibuya Sakura Stage, the underground plaza at Shibuya Station B1 Exit, and Cat Street (formerly Shibuya River Promenade) towards Harajuku. For one day, various rhythms and sounds will be heard from public spaces, from squares bustling with people to areas next to intersections. The streets of Shibuya will be colored with sound.

This year, volunteer staff, driven by their own "desires," have planned a variety of exciting contents. There are many experiential programs designed for those who are not particularly knowledgeable about music, such as a sound area where sounds are produced according to movement, a power spot where you can get energy from lyrics, and an immersive exercise experience filled with exhilaration that matches daily movements with rhythm. Please come and enjoy the unique programs filled with the volunteers' dedication and passion.

Shibuya Zunchaka!'s official character [Chabii] and the newly created [Urucha] are hidden on all 11 town stages. Find them, take a picture, and tell a staff member to receive an original sticker. Those who visit multiple locations will receive original prizes!

- **Interactive! Everyone Enjoy! Shibuya Immersive**
This is a new sensory original exercise that synchronizes everyday movements with rhythmic music and visuals, creating a fun and exciting sensation!

- **"Finale! Everyone Gather!!"**
At 5:00 PM, gather at Miyashita Park's lawn plaza! Even if you can't play an instrument, aren't good at singing, or are shy about dancing, it's okay to enjoy it in your own way! People from all different backgrounds can enjoy sounds and create a space where they can laugh together, letting themselves be carried by the atmosphere and sound. Let's all "Zunchaka!" together for the finale of Shibuya Zunchaka! 2026!
