I am deeply honored to have been appointed as a director of the Japan Fundraising Association, an organization that has long led the advancement of philanthropy and social investment in Japan.

As social challenges grow increasingly complex and the roles of public and mutual aid are being re-examined, I believe the role of donations and social investment is becoming ever more important. Moving forward, I aim to expand connections between younger generations and NPOs/fundraising, while reinterpreting Japan’s traditional culture of giving and gift-giving within a modern context, to explore uniquely Japanese models of philanthropy and social investment.
