Takuya Sugimoto Unveils Jacket Photo and Full Tracklist for Best Album 'Who am I?' Releasing August 19

This album, 'Who am I?', is a 24-track best-of collection featuring rearranged versions of his representative songs along with two new tracks. It covers songs he has been singing since before his TikTok breakthrough to his recent popular hits, creating a work that reflects his journey, current position, and further evolution.

The title 'Who am I?' embodies his desire to constantly challenge himself with new expressions while re-examining his roots and past journey. The album traces the path he has built while also conveying a sense of further evolution and a step toward the future.

The tracklist includes the new song 'Otoko no Honne', which has been previewed and is generating significant buzz on social media, another new song 'Rettouko', the theme song 'Downlight' from the movie 'Kumamoto no Kareshi' in which he starred, and rearranged versions of representative songs such as 'Zero Kyori', 'Starting Over', 'Kimi to Shampoo', and 'Nagisa no Cinderella'. I am very happy to be able to release my best album 'Who am I?' as I celebrate the 3rd anniversary of my major debut. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me.

This album was created with the desire to not only look back on my past journey but also to deliver further 'evolution' beyond that. Above all, it is an album that allows people who are encountering my music for the first time to know 'who Takuya Sugimoto is'.

Because many people came to know me through TikTok, I want them to also experience the music I have been creating since before that and the expressions I have cherished.

'Otoko no Honne' is the catchiest song I have ever made, and 'Rettouko' is my most technical and musical challenge to date. I am confident that both new listeners and long-time fans will enjoy it from multiple angles.

I have also re-recorded and rearranged many of my past songs. Some tracks have had their atmosphere significantly changed, so they can be enjoyed as new pieces.

I hope that through this album, more people will come to know the true appeal of Takuya Sugimoto.
