Following Shibuya and Takanawa, New Line 'SAUNAS LO' Spun Off from SAUNAS is Born. 'Monnaka SAUNAS LO' to Open in Monzen-nakacho This Summer

TOYOKE Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kurando Furuya), which plans and develops plant-based food and produces spa facilities including Shibuya SAUNAS, will launch a new line of SAUNAS called 'SAUNAS LO'.

In conjunction with this, as the first facility under this new line, 'Monnaka SAUNAS LO' will open this summer in Monzen-nakacho, Tokyo. The facility is produced by TOYOKE, located within 'Comforia Liv Monzen-nakacho EAST' developed by Tokyu Land Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Tatsuaki Tanaka), and will be operated by East Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hideaki Nagashima).

1. A New 'Everyday Sauna' Proposed by Monnaka SAUNAS LO
Located on the first and second floors of a newly built rental apartment building, Monnaka SAUNAS LO pursues the concept of an 'everyday sauna' that naturally exists in daily life. It functions both as a sauna open to the local community and as a residential sauna that apartment tenants can use for free.
The name 'LO' embodies the desire to be a 'LOCAL' place rooted in the community, as well as a 'LOOP' (a place of circulation) where people will want to return repeatedly as a routine for physical and mental rest.
In the historic town of Monzen-nakacho, the facility aims to fuse the community-embracing nature of traditional public baths (sento) with the functional, minimalist design of SAUNAS.

2. A Sauna Designed for Everyday 'Blank Space'
Moving a step forward from a 'destination sauna,' it pursues an essential space that supports a healthy physical and mental cycle, which can only be realized because it is based in the 'hub of daily life'—the lower floors of an apartment building. The facility is available for both men and women.

3. A New Form of Urban Living Born from the Proximity of 'Housing and Wellness'
At 'Comforia Liv Monzen-nakacho EAST,' implementing a full-scale sauna on the lower floors creates an environment where housing and wellness blend seamlessly. About Katsuki Tanaka:
The original author of the highly popular work 'Manga Sadou,' which is often referred to as the 'bible' for sauna enthusiasts. It began serialization in 'Morning' (Kodansha) in 2015 and was adapted into a TV drama on TV Tokyo's 'Drama 25' block in 2019, sparking the recent sauna boom.
PROFILE
Born in Osaka in 1966. Debuted as a manga artist in 1985. In addition to 'Manga Sadou,' his works include 'Ossu! Tonko-chan' and 'Baka Drill' (co-authored with Seiichi Amaku). He also served as the original planner for the capsule toy 'Koppu no Fuchiko.' He is an official Sauna Ambassador certified by the Japan Sauna and Spa Association.
