Susten Capital Management Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Directors: Dai Okano, Masashi Yamaguchi; hereinafter "the Company"), which provides the automated asset management service "SUSTEN," is pleased to announce that it has obtained a patent for technology related to the NISA optimization function implemented in its automated investment service "Auto NISA."

Furthermore, to commemorate the patent acquisition, a campaign will commence today, April 24th.

Patent Overview Patent Number: Patent No. 7843063 Patent Holder: Susten Capital Management Inc. Name of Invention: Information processing method, program, and information processing apparatus Registration Date: April 1, 2026

About the Patent Acquisition The mechanism for which the Company has obtained a patent is a unique information processing technology aimed at maximizing tax-exempt benefits, taking into account the constraints of the NISA system. This function is expected to enable individual investors using NISA accounts to wisely utilize NISA, even if they do not thoroughly understand the complex mechanisms of the system.

Main Implemented Functions - **Automatic Tax-Exemption Allocation Function** - Automatically allocates funds deposited via transfers and regular savings to the Growth Investment Quota and Tsumitate Investment Quota to maximize their utilization. - **Automatic Frame-Saving Function** - This function effectively expands the NISA framework by automatically executing transactions such as repurchasing or reducing principal when the market deteriorates. Through frame-saving, an average investor is estimated to achieve an increase effect of approximately 1.4 million yen*. - *Estimate based on the Company's simulation (assuming an initial investment of 800,000 yen and monthly savings of 30,000 yen continued for 30 years for an investment with risk level 5). - **Priority Allocation for Tsumitate Investment Quota** - When investing, the system automatically adjusts deposits and withdrawals to prioritize the use of the "Tsumitate Investment Quota," which has less flexibility, and to ensure funds remain in the "Tsumitate Investment Quota" as much as possible when withdrawing. - *Please note that depending on the customer's risk level, investment amount, and the "frame-saving" function, a portion of the accumulated amount may be managed in the "Growth Investment Quota" or a "taxable account." This may result in not utilizing the entire annual tax-exempt limit. Please refer to here for details. - **Priority Allocation for Expected Return** - When investing in or planning to invest in multiple securities (investment trusts), the system automatically adjusts usage to prioritize the purchase of those with higher expected returns in tax-exempt accounts.

Background of Patent Acquisition While the size of returns and costs have traditionally been emphasized in asset management, since the new NISA system started in 2024, the "optimization of NISA utilization itself" has gained the potential to have greater economic significance. Depending on how NISA is used, the same investment amount can either extinguish the tax-exempt limit or effectively increase it. In other words, how appropriately one can utilize a NISA account determines the outcome of asset management. Therefore, Susten thoroughly researched the characteristics and constraints of the system changes and pioneered the development of NISA-specific optimization technology.

Future Outlook Susten will continue to improve its NISA services across all aspects, including investment strategy, costs, and system utilization, to provide the best NISA service. By 2029, when investors are likely to use up their NISA tax-exempt lifetime investment limit (18 million yen), the company plans to implement an "automatic portfolio rebalancing function" that compares the expected returns of securities held in both NISA accounts and taxable accounts and automatically switches holdings. Please take advantage of Susten's "Auto NISA" to automatically achieve ideal long-term investments.

Campaign Commemorating Patent Acquisition Launched To allow more people to experience the "NISA Optimization Function," SUSTEN will conduct a special campaign to commemorate the patent acquisition.

### Campaign Overview **[Campaign 01]** Receive 2,000 yen for new NISA account openings and deposits of 100,000 yen or more!

**[Campaign 02]** Even better with double achievement! In addition to the conditions of Campaign 01, receive a total of 3,000 yen for continuously investing 10,000 yen or more for 3 consecutive months!
