The Huis Ten Bosch Opera Troupe (based in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture) will present a special performance at YES Theatre (Namba, Osaka) in August 2026. This marks the troupe’s first self-produced performance in Osaka, a significant step beyond its home base in Sasebo, Nagasaki.
Since its founding in 2013, the Huis Ten Bosch Opera Troupe has been based at the Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, where it stages operatic productions. At the park’s Grand Opera Theatre, two shows are performed daily, captivating audiences with lavish revues and original works. Additionally, a mini-revue by younger members is performed every day, serving as a popular platform for rising stars. After 13 years of honing their craft in Nagasaki, the troupe is now bringing its stage to Osaka.
For this Osaka performance, the troupe will present the fantasy romance 'Kagetsuya no Koi,' set in the ancient capital of Kyoto during the Heian period and depicting the fated romance between a young onmyoji (spiritualist) and a noble princess, alongside the revue show 'Sparkle of Life.'
Soma Minato, Ayaka Tsukise
Soma Minato, top star of Team Wing, will play the lead role of Reiji Tsukishiro, a young onmyoji blessed with extraordinary beauty and spiritual power, powerfully driving the narrative of 'Kagetsuya no Koi.'
Ayaka Tsukise, known for her delicate beauty and crystal-clear, enchanting voice, will portray Kaoruko, the noblewoman who shares a fated encounter with Reiji. The two actors will delicately portray the poignant love story of two souls drawn together yet tormented by tragic fate.

In the second act, the revue 'Sparkle of Life' will celebrate the theme of 'the brilliance of life,' delivering messages of love, hope, and the energy that drives us toward the future through dazzling songs, dance, and emotionally stirring music. Audiences can look forward to the unique, energetic, and beautiful world of revue that only the Huis Ten Bosch Opera Troupe can offer.
