Since 2021, SHIFT has annually implemented the 'Shiftmo Kids Summer School (*1)' for employees' children. The initiative began due to employees' feedback that 'the burden during summer vacation is significant.'
This initiative started with the idea of 'if someone is in trouble, the company should take on what it can do.' What became clear through its continuation is the reality that summer vacation is a difficult period for parents with elementary school children to balance work and childcare.
It has become apparent that balancing the desire to 'cherish time with children' and the desire to 'continue to be responsible for work' can be more challenging than during the school term.
Purpose of the Survey
SHIFT aims to create an organization where each employee can maximize their value. To achieve this, we believe it is necessary to look not only at providing systems and mechanisms but also at the environment and background surrounding working people. This survey, starting from the challenges faced by employees with children that have become apparent within the company, aims to broadly look at society and understand the living conditions of parents with elementary school children during summer vacation.
SHIFT will continue to work on improving the QOL (*2) of its employees and their families and connect that knowledge to solving social issues as a whole.
