SHAKOTAN GO Co., Ltd. is launching 'Shakotan Premium Kiwami Hokke Ramen with Special Uni Butter' on June 5, 2026, at the Misaki no Yu Shakotan dining hall in Shakotan Town, Hokkaido. The price is 1,500 yen. Supervised by the Sapporo-based ramen creator team RAMEN ICHI, which operates six shops globally (including Mexico), this dish features a salt-based soup concentrated with the flavor of Hokke (Atka mackerel) and custom whole-wheat thin noodles supplied by Maruyama Noodles. The ramen is topped with fragrant fried Hokke and a rich, melt-in-your-mouth Shakotan Uni (sea urchin) butter. Melting the Uni butter into the soup changes its flavor profile as you eat. Misaki no Yu Shakotan is a day-use hot spring facility offering panoramic views of the Sea of Japan, Cape Kamui, and Cape Shakotan. Originally a municipal facility, it was transferred to the private operator SHAKOTAN GO in 2022 to spearhead its revitalization. By combining natural hot springs, local seafood, and unique dining experiences, this new menu aims to offer a distinctive culinary attraction for both tourists and locals.
