SECAI MARCHE Secures Additional Funding from welzo Co., Ltd. Accelerates Farmer Support and Supply Chain Strengthening Through Business Collaboration.

SECAI MARCHE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo; Global Hubs: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Singapore; hereinafter "the Company") has successfully secured additional funding from welzo Co., Ltd. Concurrently, the Company will promote business collaboration with various related parties to enhance agricultural productivity in Southeast Asia and establish a stable supply system for high-quality agricultural, livestock, and marine products.

To date, the Company has been developing a cross-border fresh food distribution platform connecting producers with demanders such as restaurants and retailers, primarily in Southeast Asia, and has worked to build and expand direct distribution for the HORECA sector. By supporting both the expansion of sales channels for producers and stable procurement for demanders, the Company aims to realize a sustainable food supply chain.

With this funding, the Company will further strengthen its existing direct sales to the HORECA sector and advance the expansion of services for farmers, who are upstream in the supply chain. Specifically, by reinforcing support in areas closer to the production sites, such as cultivation guidance and the provision/sale of production materials, the Company aims to improve supply capacity and stabilize quality.

Furthermore, in the business collaboration being promoted this time, the strengths of each participating company, including those of the welzo Group, will be brought together to demonstrate agricultural solutions and supply systems in Southeast Asia. Specifically, by combining agricultural production technology guidance know-how, functions for procuring and providing production materials, product supply capacity, as well as the Company's farmer network, food e-commerce platform, and HORECA logistics/sales network, the aim is to strengthen support for farmers and livestock businesses and build a more stable supply system for demanders.

In this collaboration, the Company will be responsible for promoting cooperation with its partner farmer networks, storing and selling production materials in target regions, marketing and sales utilizing its own food e-commerce platform and logistics network, and building partnerships with demand-side parties such as HORECA businesses and developing sales channels. This will foster the creation of an effective supply chain that connects production to sales.

In agricultural product distribution, it is indispensable not only to develop a sales network that meets demand but also to establish a production base that can supply continuously and stably. The Company will continue to strengthen its functions to support production sites, in addition to its sales channel development capabilities, logistics network, and demander network, thereby building a business foundation that comprehensively supports everything from production to sales.

This will provide comprehensive support to producers that goes beyond just offering sales channels, and provide demanders with opportunities for higher quality and more stable procurement.
