【Current Challenges Faced by High School Students】

With inquiry-based learning now commonplace, young generations' interest in various social issues such as the environment, education, gender, and international affairs is growing. However, many inquiry-based learning activities end after research and presentation, and do not significantly differ from the learning styles typically conducted within schools.

On the other hand, while high school students can research social issues through inquiry-based learning and are aware of the actions being taken in society regarding these issues, many express that when it becomes a personal matter, they "don't know how to get involved" or feel it's "a problem a bit too distant for me."

Another challenge is that when they try to take action, they face the hurdle of being labeled as "too idealistic" by those around them, making it difficult to proceed.

【What is "RE:ACTION"? ~The world changes when fun people get involved~】

Instead of viewing engagement with social issues as "difficult" or something "only for highly motivated individuals," "RE:ACTION" aims to foster unique social actions starting from exciting, positive emotions like "fun," "interesting," and "cool."

It encourages participants to start not from a sense of correctness or obligation, but from their own likes and interests. The goal is to create new ways of engaging with society as friends join in and spread the "fun."

【Three Steps of the Practical Program "RE:ACTION FIRE"】

"RE:ACTION FIRE" selects 100 high school students from across the country and is an approximately four-month program where participants examine their interests and societal discomforts, and then combine their passions with social issues to take action.

1 Kick-off Camp (August 19-21, 2026 / 2 nights, 3 days)

The program begins with a 2-night, 3-day camp. Participating high school students will hear from instructors who engage with society through their passions, and through experiencing actual "RE:ACTION" with peers of the same generation, they will discover the "spark (FIRE)" of how to connect their own fun and interests to solving social issues.

2 Activity Support Period (September - December)

Participants will prepare to implement their "RE:ACTION" with support from accompanying mentors, based on the ideas generated at the camp. High school students will then carry out their "RE:ACTION" independently upon returning to their local communities.

Through the experience of thinking, acting, and interacting with others, even through small actions, they will cultivate their own ways of engaging with society.

3 Achievement Presentation Festival "RE:ACTION 100X" (Scheduled for January 11, 2027)

Each high school student will present the results of their "RE:ACTION" to a wider audience. This event will invite participants of all ages, from elementary school students to adults, to showcase the diverse challenges undertaken by the younger generation. By sharing the real actions and questions of young people, and the changes that arise from them, it will create a ripple effect, inspiring not only the participants but also the viewers to feel "maybe I can do something too."
