About Kumamoto University's "Fly High! Kumamoto Science Girls"

In fiscal year 2024, Kumamoto University was selected as an implementing institution for JST's (Japan Science and Technology Agency) "Support Program for Science and Engineering Career Choices for Junior High and High School Girls." With the aim of increasing the number of junior high and high school girls who wish to pursue higher education in science and engineering, the program offers "Lectures by Role Models in Science and Engineering," "Satellite Seminars" (outreach classes held at junior high and high schools), "Parent-Child Girls School" for parents and children to experience experiments, and "Ask Me, Senpai!" for current female science and engineering students to discuss their studies and career paths.
