This product is specifically designed for cats, selected from approximately 6,000 strains of lactic acid bacteria with a focus on feline immune function, and rigorously tested through feeding trials involving around 300 cats. Previously, personalized 'Catlog Care Probiotics' were delivered based on extensive data such as stress scores, excretion, and sleep patterns collected from Catlog users. Now, this product will be made available to all cat owners.

In response to high demand, the product will also be available on Amazon and Rakuten Market. Distribution through retail stores, including Don Quijote, is planned in the future, with gradual expansion.

■ About 'Catlog Care Probiotics'

Lactic acid bacteria are widely used in various foods and supplements, offering benefits beyond digestive health, including stress reduction, improved sleep quality, skincare, anti-aging, and immune support. Recently, probiotics have become increasingly common in cat health routines. A survey of Catlog users revealed that over half have previously used probiotic products for their cats, indicating strong owner interest.

However, many commercially available cat probiotics are adapted from strains originally developed for humans. Whether the probiotic strain is specifically developed for cats is a crucial factor in product selection.

RABO conducted joint research with Nohken One Health Co., Ltd., which provides premium strains from the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization's (NARO) lactic acid bacteria collection—one of Japan's largest, with approximately 6,000 strains. To identify cat-specific probiotics, RABO performed immune-focused screening and a feeding program with promising candidate strains. Around 300 Catlog-using cats consumed the probiotics for one month, during which data such as cortisol levels in fur (a stress hormone), stress scores, excretion, and sleep patterns collected via Catlog were analyzed. Based on this data, the optimal strain for cats was selected and launched as 'Catlog Care Probiotics' in September 2025.

Originally, this product was personalized based on data collected through Catlog and delivered exclusively via the app's 'Cat Market' to Catlog users. Now, in line with RABO's mission to 'enable cats and their owners worldwide to stay together one second longer,' the company has decided to expand access to all cat owners. Additionally, in response to customer demand, the product will be available on Amazon and Rakuten Market, with plans to expand to retail stores such as Don Quijote.
