Survey: Vet Nurse Retention Driven by Veterinarian Management Rather Than Salary

PERE Inc. released a research report focusing on the retention of veterinary nurses in Japan. Using multiple regression analysis on 85 respondents, the study found that 'Support from Superiors and Veterinarians' is the strongest factor driving the desire to continue working at a clinic. Interestingly, salary satisfaction showed no direct statistical impact on retention. The findings suggest that emotional support and clear educational guidance are key to solving chronic labor shortages in animal hospitals.
