On May 9, 2026 (Saturday), Tamagawa Onsen, a Showa retro hot spring public bath operated by Onsendojo Co., Ltd. (Tokigawa Town, Hiki District, Saitama Prefecture; Representative Director: Hisaki Yamazaki), will host a "Sorghum Sowing Experience." The Tokigawa Town Tourism Association is challenging itself to cultivate sorghum with the aim of effectively utilizing the former site of "Tokigawa Iris Garden," creating new tourism resources and local specialties for Tokigawa Town, and resolving the issue of fallow land. Sorghum is a highly nutritious, gluten-free superfood grain from the grass family, easy to manage and harvest. Tamagawa Onsen supports this initiative and will host the "Sorghum Sowing Experience" with the hope that collaborating on PR will help disseminate the charm of Tokigawa Town.
