The Ojisans are Back! Gaku-ten-soku, The Punch, Machineguns, and Kinzoku Bat Unleashed in 'Ojisans 8' Second Season Starting May 15!

NTT Docomo Studio & Live will begin exclusive distribution of the new content 'Ojisans 8 Second Season' on FANY Channel starting Friday, May 15.

The middle-aged guys (Ojisans) are back!

'Ojisans 8' is a program where 8 comedians (Gaku-ten-soku, The Punch, Machineguns, and Kinzoku Bat), who blossomed in 'THE SECOND' and are now shining brightest, play around without overexerting themselves or getting injured. This project began with Gaku-ten-soku Okuda's desire to do a variety show with fellow 'THE SECOND' members. Thanks to passionate support from many fans, the second season has been realized with all 8 members returning. Welcoming Miki Inada of Beni Shoga back as the navigator, they will engage in unique 'middle-aged' segments such as the 'Middle-Aged Athletic Meet,' described as the most unwatchable in Japan.

Even after meeting again after a while, the eight seem as unchanged as ever. Please look forward to seeing the reunited Ojisans.

Q: The second season has been realized with all 8 members. How do you feel about reuniting and recording the show?

[Shuji Okuda, Gaku-ten-soku]
Ojisans 8 Season 2 is starting! At the time of recording, the Top 16 of THE SECOND had just been decided, so everyone's tension is high! However, by the time this Season 2 actually starts, many things will have been settled, so please enjoy that time lag! And please support us so we can continue to Season 3!

It felt like a homecoming. I want to keep doing this together until we go beyond Ojisans to become old men!

[Punch Hamasaki, The Punch]
I thought, 'What a comfortable and happy place this is.' I'm grateful to Okuda-chan, the new leader of the Ojisans, for gathering this family.

I've been a comedian for 28 years, but this is the first time the words 'Let's work together with this group again!' have actually come true. I'm grateful.

[Takizawa, Machineguns]
I hadn't seen some people in about a year, but for middle-aged men, a year doesn't make you look older or younger. They were the same as always. Usually, middle-aged men don't scream 'Wah' or 'Dah,' but in Ojisans 8, everyone is screaming, so please watch!

I'm feeling embarrassed again this time. At least laugh at us! I hope we can do this every year!

If you turn an 8 on its side and cut it in half, it's OO. Two O's as in the alphabet is O2. Oxygen. It feels exactly like that.

Q: Ms. Inada, watching over the 8 Ojisans for the first time in a year, how was their reunion?

[Miki Inada, Beni Shoga]
I thought everyone might not have changed, but Mr. Takizawa had a slightly terrible 'version upgrade,' and I'm honestly scared of how that will turn out in the end. I think there are many scenes in the smoking area. The scenes of them writing things with cigarettes in their mouths haven't changed since last time. Please understand.
