Hiroshi Homura (ほむら・ひろし)

Tanka poet. Born in Hokkaido in 1962. Debuted in 1990 with the poetry collection "Syndicate" (Okisya). Since then, he has been active in a wide range of fields, focusing on tanka. He received the 2017 Kodansha Essay Award for "Torihada ga." Recent works include "Takoashi Note" (Chuo Koron Shinsha), "Maigo Techō" (Kodansha), and "Tanka no Gacha Pon, Mō Ichikai" (Shogakukan). His latest poetry collection "Suichu Yokyū Enjōchū" (Kodansha) won the 23rd Wakayama Bokusui Prize. A new edition of his debut collection "Syndicate" has been published by Kodansha.
