Mycat Inc. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo) has newly released a "Composite Disaster Risk Score Diagnostic Tool" on its AI disaster risk score diagnostic service "Saigaimap" (https://saigaimap.xyz), which comprehensively evaluates multiple disaster risks.
Tool URL: https://saigaimap.xyz/tools/multi-risk-score
Tool Overview
While Saigaimap previously allowed users to check risks individually for each type of disaster, this new tool calculates a single integrated score for four risks: earthquakes, floods, landslides, and tsunamis. It's a tool that allows users to grasp the overall picture of complex disaster risks, such as "this address is subject not only to earthquake risk but also to flood risk," all on one screen.
Input Items
- Address Input (Required): Input is possible from prefecture down to street number. Approximate diagnosis is also possible at the municipality level.
- Building Type (Optional): Detached house (wooden) / Detached house (steel frame/RC) / Apartment (low-rise 1-3 floors) / Apartment (mid-rise 4-7 floors) / Apartment (high-rise 8 floors or more) / Office building / Store
- Year Built (Optional): Before 1981 (Old seismic standard) / 1982-2000 (New seismic standard) / 2001 onwards
- Floor of Residence (Optional, for apartments): 1-3 floors / 4-7 floors / 8 floors or more
- Purpose of Use (Optional): Residential home / Considering purchase / Considering office relocation / Considering store opening
Diagnostic Results Output
1. Composite Disaster Risk Integrated Score (6 levels: S to E)
A comprehensive evaluation integrating the four risks is displayed in 6 levels from S to E.
- S (Extremely Safe): All risks are at a low level.
- A (Safe): 1-2 items of minor risk.
- B (Slightly Cautionary): 1 item of moderate risk.
- C (Cautionary): Multiple items of moderate risk, or 1 item of high risk.
- D (Alert Required): Multiple overlapping high risks.
- E (Dangerous): Area with complex high risks.
2. Individual Scores and Basis for Each Disaster Type
For each disaster risk, individual scores (0-100 points) and the basis for the judgment are displayed.
- Earthquake Risk: Judgment based on distance from active faults, regional earthquake occurrence probability (data from the Headquarters for Earthquake Research Promotion), and surface layer amplification factor (J-SHIS).
- Flood Risk: Judgment based on distance from rivers, inundation assumption area data (hazard maps from each municipality), and past inundation records.
- Landslide Risk: Judgment based on overlap with landslide warning areas/special landslide warning areas (data designated by prefectures) and topography/slope.
- Tsunami Risk: Judgment based on distance from the coastline, tsunami inundation assumption area data, and elevation.
3. Integrated Display of Hazard Map Information
Hazard map information related to the input address is displayed in a list. Information from flood hazard maps, landslide hazard maps, and tsunami hazard maps published by municipalities can be referenced comprehensively.
4. Proposed Countermeasures Based on Risk (Prioritized)
Based on the diagnostic results, disaster prevention measures to be taken are presented in a checklist format in order of priority.
- Items Recommended for Immediate Action: Confirmation of evacuation sites and routes, preparation of emergency kits.
- Items to Consider in the Medium Term: ...
