Towards an Era of 'Experiencing' Film - A New Movement Born in Shimokitazawa
In recent years, just as much support has gathered for mini-theaters through MOTION GALLERY, there has been a re-evaluation of the act of 'watching' films itself, along with the revival of mini-theaters and film festivals. While concerns have been raised that the spread of SNS and digital distribution could lead to the demise of movie theaters, it has also spurred movements to expand the film experience beyond the screen. Interest in 'culture connecting film and daily life,' such as cuisine inspired by films, dialogues about films, and a passion for film merchandise, is rapidly growing, especially among the younger generation.
