■ What is the 'Management Success Studio' Seminar Series?
'Management Success Studio' is an online seminar series that delivers insights from management experts and HR practitioners to achieve 'management success', where management functions effectively and continues to produce results.
It explains reproducible measures and the latest trends with concrete examples to help frontline managers who shape management and the HR professionals who support them. In addition to management and HR know-how, it sometimes provides hints for practical application from diverse perspectives such as positive psychology and behavioral economics, encouraging practices that lead to organizational results.
■ Background: Creating a Place for Managers and HR Professionals to Gain 'Actionable Learning'
Due to changing times and diversifying work styles, the roles required of managers and HR professionals are becoming increasingly complex, alongside the environment surrounding 'people' and 'events'.
Under these circumstances, management easily becomes dependent on individual experience and capabilities, leading to personalization. As a result, the burden on managers is increasing, and the phrase 'promotion to management is a punishment game' is becoming a common daily expression.
Therefore, we launched the 'Management Success Studio' to timely deliver insights from management experts and HR practitioners, serving as a place where managers and supporting HR professionals can gain 'actionable learning for tomorrow'.
On Monday, June 22, 2026, we will invite Masahiko Yasuda, CEO of We Are The People Inc. and author of 'Global Standard Feedback', to discuss 'What exactly is feedback?', 'What is global standard feedback?', and 'What is necessary to make feedback a habit?'.
■ Outline of the June 22 Seminar
Why doesn't feedback take root in the workplace? Learning management support from the author of 'Global Standard Feedback'
We often hear comments like, 'I understand the importance of feedback, but my intentions don't get across', 'We introduced training, but it's not functioning on the front lines', and 'Managers themselves lack confidence in giving feedback in the first place'.
While the terms 'feedback' and '1-on-1' have become widely known, cases where they end up as temporary initiatives or become mere formalities without taking root as a habit are not uncommon. It has likely become a source of trouble with no clear solution for not only the managers themselves but also the HR professionals responsible for supporting them.
This time, we have invited Masahiko Yasuda, CEO of We Are The People Inc., author of 'Global Standard Feedback', and former HR head at several prominent foreign-affiliated companies. We will rethink questions such as 'What exactly is feedback?', 'What is global standard feedback?', and 'What is necessary to make feedback a habit?', and organize ideas for implementing global knowledge into Japanese workplaces.
Beyond updating the thinking and skills of individual managers, we will explore the role HR can play in making feedback an organizational habit.
- Those struggling with a feedback culture not taking root
- Those troubled by 1-on-1s becoming a mere formality
- Those working on improving engagement scores
