MARINE Inc. (Handa City, Aichi Prefecture, President and CEO: Shoji Watanabe) will serve as a business collaboration partner for "SASASHIMA PICKLE CLUB," which JTB Corporation opened on June 18, 2026.

As a business collaboration partner, MARINE Inc. will leverage its expertise in operating tennis schools and promoting pickleball to manage the school operations, trial sessions, event support, and community building at this facility.

▪️ Initiatives with JTB

MARINE Inc. has collaborated with JTB to promote pickleball in the Nagoya area, supporting trial events in the Nagoya and Sakae areas, as well as trial sessions for university students, contributing to regional revitalization and community building through sports.

Looking ahead, we plan to hold a large-scale trial event in the Hisaya Odori area around the fall of 2026, and are also considering hosting inter-company exchange matches and other events.

I am deeply honored to serve as a business collaboration partner for "SASASHIMA PICKLE CLUB," which JTB Corporation is establishing.

Pickleball is not only a sport that "anyone can easily enjoy right away," but also an attractive sport that naturally connects people regardless of age, gender, or experience.

On the other hand, when I started playing pickleball two years ago, there were no permanent facilities where I could play casually or schools where I could learn techniques systematically. I had no choice but to learn through trial and error with pickleball friends, referring to information from overseas. From that experience, I strongly felt the need for "a place where people can play pickleball casually" and "an environment where they can learn pickleball know-how."

At this club, we aim to be a place that solves these challenges, providing an environment where everyone from beginners to competitive players can continuously grow and enjoy themselves, including lessons themed around specific skills, and creating a community where companies, students, and local residents can naturally connect.

◯ Background: Graduated from Keio University, joined a major non-life insurance company. Experienced 9 years in retail and corporate sales, then became independent. ▪️ Future Outlook

MARINE Inc. operates "MARINE PICKLE CLUB (Handa City)," Aichi Prefecture's first dedicated outdoor pickleball court, and plans to add 1.5 indoor courts in July 2026.

In the future, in addition to expanding our bases in Handa and Nagoya, we aim to spread the creation of new communities through pickleball nationwide, while also considering expansion into Tokyo.

We are also strengthening our partnerships with companies, universities, and local governments, and are involved in supporting the launch and operation of pickleball businesses through joint facility operations, operational consignment, and consulting, as seen in this initiative.
