MAIA Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yuka Tsukida, hereinafter "MAIA"), which aims to create an environment where women can work as they are and supports the digitalization of companies and local governments nationwide by fostering female digital talent, will be a partner company in the "Shizuoka City Female Digital Talent Development Project" entrusted to Mynavi Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shunsuke Awai, hereinafter "Mynavi") by Shizuoka City. MAIA will be responsible for digital talent development and employment support. In response to this, applications for the "Digital Work! Shizuoka Women's Support Program" began on July 1, 2026.
About the Shizuoka City Female Digital Talent Development Project
In Shizuoka City, the rate of regular employment for women in their late 20s to early 30s, the prime childbearing age, tends to decline (*1), and this decline is steeper than the national average. On the other hand, many women working in non-regular employment in the city wish to become regular employees if they can adjust their working hours or work flexibly (*2).
*1 From the 2022 Basic Survey on Employment Status *2 From "Current Status and Challenges of Part-time and Non-regular Female Employees" conducted by Azalea Communication Conference NPO in 2023.
Based on this background, Shizuoka City is implementing the "Female Digital Talent Development Project" to support the acquisition of digital skills and employment in the digital field, which are less dependent on time and location and can lead to increased income. The project aims to support the re-employment of women who have interrupted their careers due to childbirth, childcare, or nursing care, as well as women currently working in non-regular employment, and to contribute to creating an environment where each individual can choose their desired way of working.
This project combines Mynavi's corporate network and ability to create employment opportunities with MAIA's expertise in developing female digital talent and providing support. It offers comprehensive support from skill acquisition to employment for participants. The goal is to expand the possibilities for re-employment, remote work, and starting businesses tailored to each participant's lifestyle, leading to an increase in women's disposable income.
About the "Digital Work! Shizuoka Women's Support Program"
The "Digital Work! Shizuoka Women's Support Program" offers systematic learning of digital skills directly applicable to corporate operations, such as accounting, back-office tasks, and business automation, primarily through e-learning. Participants can learn the concepts and tools for efficiently digitizing administrative tasks from the basics, making it accessible even for IT beginners.
Two courses are offered: the "freee Accounting Course" and the "Business Automation x AI Course." The "freee Accounting Course" aims to train individuals capable of handling accounting and back-office tasks by covering everything from basic bookkeeping to the utilization of cloud accounting. The "Business Automation x AI Course" provides practical skills for improving daily operations and advancing business improvements through the use of RPA and generative AI.
Furthermore, the program offers a broad curriculum that extends beyond IT skills, including important mindsets and business skills for work, and financial training to review one's values.
Upon completion, participants will be encouraged to work in flexible, higher-paying roles, including work-sharing arrangements utilizing their IT skills, by leveraging job placement support while alleviating concerns about their abilities and experience. Mynavi will also host regional company exchange events to foster mutual understanding between participants and local businesses.
