Luup Officially Cooperates with "IVS2026" in Kyoto

Luup Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Daiki Okai; hereinafter referred to as "Luup") is pleased to announce its official cooperation with "IVS2026," to be held from Wednesday, July 1, 2026, to Friday, July 3, 2026, continuing from last year.

Background of the Event

With the mission to "create infrastructure that makes the entire city feel like a station," Luup is developing its micro-mobility sharing service "LUUP" to solve transportation challenges across Japan through its business. In the Kyoto area, the service was launched in November 2021 (*), aiming to not only serve as a means of daily transportation but also to secure "daily transport" for citizens by dispersing and diversifying travel routes for tourists, thereby alleviating overtourism.

This year again, Japan's largest startup conference, "IVS2026," will be held in Kyoto. To ensure comfortable travel to and from the venue, as well as for sightseeing in Kyoto, we will set up approximately 120 dedicated ports, primarily at "Miyako Messe," the main venue for "IVS2026."

Furthermore, to enhance convenience as a comfortable mode of transport for attendees, we will distribute a "30-minute x 3 free ride coupon" exclusively for new registrants of the LUUP app, usable in the Kyoto area. By utilizing LUUP not only for travel within the event but also as a means of transportation for summer sightseeing in Kyoto, we aim to contribute to improving transportation convenience and avoiding congestion within Kyoto City.

Overview of Dedicated Ports

Approximately 120 dedicated ports will be set up in the surrounding areas, centered around "Miyako Messe," the main venue for "IVS2026."

Details of First-Time User Coupon Distribution

To commemorate the "IVS2026" event, special coupons usable in the Kyoto area will be distributed to those who newly register for LUUP.

- To use LUUP, you must download the app and complete pre-registration, including credit card registration and age verification.

- If your ride exceeds 30 minutes, you will be charged the regular rate for the time exceeding 30 minutes.

- Even if you take a temporary break, if you end your ride within 30 minutes from the start time, there will be no charge.

- Rides must be completed within the campaign validity period. Rides completed after the expiration date will not be applicable.

- We may conduct other campaigns during the period of this campaign. If other campaigns are conducted, discounts and other benefits from each campaign will not be applied cumulatively.

- Rides originating from non-designated ports are not eligible for the campaign.

- Service: Micro-mobility sharing - Details: Using the smartphone app "LUUP," users can ride vehicles and travel between ports located throughout the city.

- Usage Fees: Basic ride fee ¥50 (tax included) + Time fee ¥15 per minute (tax included) *Fees may vary in some areas.

- Regarding Electric Kickboards and Electric Seatboards: To use these, you must register age verification documents and achieve a perfect score on the traffic rules test consecutively through the app. - Insurance: Covers damage to property, bodily injury, and personal injury during rides.
