On July 1, 2026 (Wed), Craft Art Hotel "TOUSUMI," an accommodation experience enveloped in Kyushu's crafts and scents, will grand open in Gion-machi, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City.

"TOUSUMI" is a 9-room craft art hotel that integrates the memories of traditional crafts such as pottery, weaving, wood, paper, and incense, which are alive in Kyushu, into a modern lodging space.

The concept is "Lighting a lamp on indigenous traditions."

In the Gion area, where Hakata's history breathes, we propose a stay experience that brings tranquility and space to your journey while allowing you to savor local craftsmanship and culture with all five senses.

The name TOUSUMI originates from an old term for "wick" used to light a lamp.

By deliberately using the old pronunciation in its Romanized form, rather than the common "toushin," we express a quiet harmony between traditions passed down from the past and contemporary sensibilities.
