"If You See a Cat" — Acclaimed VR Narrative Experience Coming to Steam

March 27, 2026 — KOMODO is pleased to announce that the Steam store page for the VR narrative experience "If You See a Cat," created by award-winning animator Atsushi Wada, is now live and available for wishlisting. The title is scheduled for release on April 3, 2026.

"If You See a Cat" is an immersive VR narrative work that blends animation, film, and interactive expression.

Players observe a boy struggling with mental distress through the eyes of a "phantom cat." Through this unique perspective, the work delicately explores themes of perception, memory, and human connection.

The work has already received significant international acclaim, including a nomination for the Venice International Film Festival's VR section and an official selection for the International Film Festival Rotterdam.

Atsushi Wada:

Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1980. Studied film at Osaka Kyoiku University, the Image Forum Institute of the Moving Image, and the Tokyo University of the Arts. He began creating animations around 2002 and continues to produce work centered on the themes of "pauses" and "pleasant movement."
