komham Inc. (Headquarters: Sapporo City, Hokkaido; CEO: Suno Nishiyama; hereinafter "the Company") will exhibit its diagnostic and prescription service for composting facilities, "MICROBOOST®," at the "2026 NEW Environmental Exhibition" to be held at Tokyo Big Sight. We look forward to your visit.

About "MICROBOOST®"

Operational Optimization through Microbial Reaction Control
We conduct genetic analysis of the microorganisms currently operating in your composting facility at our laboratory and create a detailed report.
By comparing that data with our proprietary microorganism database, we identify the microbes lacking in the decomposition process. By selecting and delivering the appropriate microbe groups, we achieve a stable fermentation process through the shortest possible route.

Shortened Processing Time and Energy-Saving Operation
We improve processing efficiency by shortening the processing period and reduce electricity costs by optimizing ventilation and agitation. We simultaneously reduce the "time" and "energy" required for composting.

Applicable to Existing Equipment
No new equipment is necessary; it can be added to existing composting tanks and fermentation devices.
We provide one-stop support from assessing on-site conditions to operational design and improvement assistance, maximizing the introduction effect with minimal burden.

■ What is the Microorganism Group "komham"?

It is a proprietary microorganism group developed by our company that has the ability to decompose food waste at high speed. It features the ability to decompose up to 98% of food waste in as little as one day, enabling high-speed composting, which normally requires multiple fermentations over several weeks.

Results from microbial community analysis using a next-generation sequencer show that komham is composed of a microorganism group centered around multiple thermophilic Bacillaceae bacteria.

As part of hazard assessment, we have confirmed that the main constituent bacteria of komham do not fall under the list of hazardous microorganisms. Furthermore, no genetic modification or genome editing has been performed on komham.

* Patent Information: "Microorganism, composition for use in decomposition of food waste, and food waste processing method" (Patent No. 7300079)

■ About komham Inc.

With the mission of "improving the living environment with microorganisms," we conduct research on "komham," a microorganism group capable of high-speed decomposition of food waste, and build biomass recycling systems using them.

In addition, we actively promote the development of new services and products using our research results, aiming to create an infrastructure where everyone can live an environmentally friendly life without even being conscious of it.
