JTB Launches New Programs for 'MY LIV PROJECT': Kanko-Jin Quest Tokyo, Kanko-Jin Quest Miyagi/Fukushima, and Peace Park Tour Okinawa

JTB Corp. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo), in collaboration with PLAY SPACE Inc., espaço Inc., the certified NPO Sokodage, and Umsan Lab Inc., has developed 'Kanko-Jin Quest Tokyo', 'Kanko-Jin Quest Miyagi/Fukushima', and 'Peace Park Tour Okinawa' as new additions to the 'MY LIV PROJECT ~A Journey to Discover My and Our Well-being~'. Sales to junior high schools and high schools nationwide will begin on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. ■ Background and Purpose The 'MY LIV PROJECT' led by JTB is a project that aims to help children face their own individuality and open up future possibilities through encounters, dialogue, and inquiry with people in various regions during their travels. By expanding the programs in areas with high demand for school trips and study tours, JTB will increase opportunities for junior high and high school students to experience the diverse cultures and values of different regions and deepen their learning. ■ Overview of New Programs 1. Kanko-Jin Quest Tokyo Set in Tokyo, the center of Japan where tradition and trends intersect, this program coordinates 'Kanko-Jin' (tourism people) unique to Tokyo under the theme of 'Diversity, Creation, Challenge'. ① Encounters with Diverse Values Through dialogue with 'Kanko-Jin' from diverse backgrounds active in Tokyo, students will encounter ways of living and challenges that break away from existing values. ② Awareness of New Value Creation Set in the city of Tokyo, where traditional culture and cutting-edge culture coexist, students will experience the dynamism of new value creation and the heat source generated by diverse personalities. (Program duration: Half-day course, approx. 3 hours) 2. Kanko-Jin Quest Miyagi/Fukushima Set in the Tohoku region, which has continued to move forward with hope despite experiencing great difficulties from the disaster, this program coordinates 'Kanko-Jin' unique to Tohoku under the theme of 'Despair and Hope, Being, Innovation'. ① An Experience to Re-examine One's Own Way of Being Through encounters with people who are challenging regional reconstruction and solving social issues after the disaster, students will think about their own way of living and being. ② Challenge to Innovation from Tohoku Students will learn about new challenges and regional innovations born from adversity, and learn about the power and hope to carve out the future. (Program duration: Half-day course, approx. 3 hours) 3. Peace Park Tour Okinawa Set in the Okinawa Peace Memorial Park, this program allows students to tour the peace park from multiple perspectives and think about what peace means to them, together with young people engaged in peace activities (Peace Buddies), under the theme of 'Nuchi du Takara' (Life is a treasure). ① Peace Studies from Multiple Perspectives Students will think about the Battle of Okinawa and peace from the perspectives of people with different positions and backgrounds, and grasp 'what is peace' from multiple angles. ② 'A Step Toward Peace' Through Dialogue Through dialogue with Peace Buddies, students will think about the 'small steps for peace' they can take themselves, leading to proactive learning.
