Background to N-NOSE® Reaching 1 Million Cumulative Samples

Since its founding in 2016, the Company has aimed for a world where early cancer detection is commonplace. Despite cancer being the leading cause of death in Japan for many years, the screening participation rate remains below 50%. This is due to psychological and physical hurdles associated with existing tests, such as "lack of time," "pain involved," and "cost."

By utilizing the biological characteristics of nematodes, which have a superior sense of smell, N-NOSE® has enabled a primary screening test that is "inexpensive, simple, highly accurate, and covers the entire body," which was difficult to achieve with conventional artificial sensors. By simply submitting a small amount of urine, we have presented society with a new option: incorporating cancer risk testing into daily life through a non-invasive method.

About "N-NOSE®", a Nematode Cancer Test That Can Be Mailed
