AlphaTheta Collaborates with VR DJs to Release Official DJ Equipment 3D Models!

HIKKY Co., Ltd. announced that AlphaTheta Corporation (hereinafter AlphaTheta), a leading company in DJ equipment, will exhibit for the first time at "Virtual Market 2026 Summer," one of the world's largest metaverse events that has achieved four Guinness World RecordsTM, scheduled to be held from July 11 (Sat) to July 26 (Sun), 2026.

They will showcase 3D models of official AlphaTheta DJ equipment, co-created with DJs active in VR.

[Background of This Exhibition]

As a leading company in DJ equipment, AlphaTheta has exhibited at music festivals and trade shows worldwide with the aim of developing DJ culture.

In recent years, a unique DJ scene has formed on VR social media platforms such as VRChat, where many users enjoy music and DJ culture in avatar form. AlphaTheta has taken notice of this movement and, with a desire to support its growth and introduce the appeal of DJing to more people, has decided to exhibit at Virtual Market, one of the largest exhibition events held on VRChat.

Through this first foray into the metaverse, they aim to further develop DJ culture and deliver the "joy of owning and experiencing DJ equipment" to many visitors.

◆Experience the professional DJ system "XDJ-AZ" up close in a virtual space, born from co-creation with DJs active in VR.

Prior to this exhibition, AlphaTheta invited 14 DJs active on VRChat: 3Marco, aromabl4ck, ayafmy, dj_tsumugi, Fradol, Jentagawa, KANISAN14, Kohadachan, Mazzn1987, Q330, sekizu1, SHIRIA_JP, xiriya39, and 魔いたけ, for a community roundtable discussion.

They directly discussed themes such as "what kind of gimmicks to include," "what to expect from a booth exhibition," "what is enjoyable about the experience within the booth," and "what inspired them to start DJing on VRChat," with the stakeholders of the VR DJ scene, focusing on "3D DJ equipment models they truly desire."

Based on the opinions of these VR DJs from the roundtable discussion, AlphaTheta developed official 3D models of their DJ equipment. These models will be exhibited in a booth located in "Parareal Broadway," one of the corporate exhibition venues, featuring a faithful reproduction of the professional all-in-one DJ system "XDJ-AZ."

Visitors can closely examine the details of DJ equipment such as jog wheels and mixers, as if standing in a club DJ booth. Gimmicks (features) have been incorporated to allow even first-time users of DJ equipment to experience the fun of DJing, such as scratch sounds when touching the jog wheels and the ability to play the familiar reggae horn sound.

Furthermore, there are virtual-exclusive features, such as the DJ equipment lighting up in sync with the background music playing in the venue.

Visitors who complete the survey conducted within the booth will receive a 3D model of the "XDJ-AZ." Please enjoy the "joy of owning and experiencing DJ equipment" by playing with the realistic DJ equipment 3D model on VRChat or decorating your own room with it!

Kohada: Reflecting user voices in product development sounds natural when you say it, but I believe it's actually very difficult. Therefore, I felt that the initiative itself, of creating 3D items while involving users like this, holds great significance.

During the roundtable discussion, many participants not only expressed their requests but also offered opinions from the perspective of "how can this initiative be successful," indicating a shared desire from both individuals and companies to nurture the fun and community of VR, which is still in its developmental stages.

While unofficial assets based on DJ equipment exist, the fact that this is "coming from the official source" holds special meaning. I hope that those who regularly use AlphaTheta products and those familiar with DJ equipment will place these models in their VR worlds or use them for event space production. I believe it will also serve as an opportunity for those who aspire to real DJ culture to experience that atmosphere within VR.
